Potterycrafts Heatworker 180 Litre Front Loading Kiln
Potterycrafts Heatworker 180 front loading kiln is a 'tubed' kiln for potters and organisations that want the very best. This premium build kiln is ideal for professional studios, schools, and colleges where reliability and durability are essential. The kiln is constructed from durable low thermal insulation brick with two high grade backup insulation boards all enclosed within a robust high quality pressed steel powder coated frame.
Heatworker premium kilns have a superior internal design. Rather than the traditional and conventional 'elements in grooved wall system' used in most kilns, these 'top of the line' kilns utilise a more advanced system where the elements are fitted on ceramic support tubes and not encased in the side walls.
This method reduces stress on both the elements and the kiln chamber and is reflected in the higher maximum temperature of 1320°C.
- Two-layer efficient insulation comprising of the highest quality grooved insulation brick and backed up with high grade insulation board.
- Brick to brick door seal (no fibre seals which deteriorate) with a flush fit for better heat retention.
- Increased efficiency as all of the radiant heat generated by the elements enters the chamber as the elements are in free air.
- Door Spy Hole/vent and flue vent with manual damper as standard (automated damper can be added at extra cost)
- Reduced stress on the elements as they are not covered in any insulation.
- Structural support for the elements via the tube that is inserted through them.
- Easier to change elements when required.
- A greatly reduced risk of element fails which can cause brickwork damage.
- Longer chamber brickwork life as brick integrity is not reduced by element grooves.
