Amaco LUG Lilac Brush-on Underglaze
Amaco Lilac Liquid Underglaze is a soft orchid purple that is light and powdery at cone 05, becomes slightly deeper and fluxes into a soft glaze-like surface at cone 6, and begins to burn out at cone 10. Though the underglaze does become glaze-like, a clear gloss glaze can give Lilac an impeccably smooth surface and can help preserve some of the colour at cone 10.
- Easy to use in a broad firing range from 1040°C to 1220°C (cone 4/5)
- Also great for detailed painting, sgraffito, watercolour effects, wax resist, and Mishima decoration.
- LUG's may be brushed on wet clay, greenware, or on mature cone 04 bisqueware.
Good to Know:
- Can be applied to unfired clay or bisque.
- Underglaze colour for a variety of techniques.
- Vibrant colour with application of clear glaze.
- If left unglazed Amaco LUG should not come into contact with food or drink.
