Commercial Birch White Textured Stoneware Clay
A great mineral and water-based alternative to traditional clay, looking similar but having a softer texture. Dries hard when exposed to air but can be re-moulded with water. Takes paint and varnish and can be sanded to shape. Suitable for throwing, coiling, hand building, modelling, tile making and recommended for salt glazing.
- Temperature Range 1200 - 1270°C.
- Shrinkage (w-d) 3 - 5%
- Shrinkage (d-f) 6 - 8%
- 0.26% expansion at 500°C.
- Texture (1-smooth 10 coarse) 5.
- Fired colour: Buff.
