Earthstone ES40 Handbuilding Clay

Earthstone ES40 Handbuilding Clay

SKU: P1480

Earthstone ES40 Handbuilding Clay is a premium white clay body designed to meet the rigorous demands of hand-building and sculptural work, providing a sturdy and dependable material for creating intricate and large-scale sculptures. Similar in appearance and firing range to Earthstone Original (ES 5), this clay body incorporates coarse Molochite to significantly enhance its strength and durability.

The addition of this grog makes ES 40 incredibly robust, allowing it to handle the most extreme sculptural forms without the risk of warping or cracking. Its heavy grog content ensures it remains stable during construction and firing, making it particularly well-suited for handmade tiles, ceramic murals, and large, complex projects and gives it the stability needed for constructing detailed and expansive works, such as handmade tiles and ceramic murals. The coarse Molochite not only reinforces the clay but also enhances its texture, making it easier to shape and build without compromising the integrity of the final piece. ES 40 can be utilized for both mid-range and higher temperature firings, adapting to various glazing and finishing techniques. Whether you're crafting large decorative items or detailed architectural ceramics, ES 40 offers the strength and versatility required for achieving professional-grade results in any hand-building project. Recommended for Raku.
