Valentine ES600 Porcelain Paper Clay
FLAXpaperCLAY is very versatile, strong, and flexible at all stages of the making process. Its reinforcing property with the flax fibre content allows the clay to be stretched without tearing. The fibres also seem to add tremendous strength to the sculpture as it dries, and this gives a much greater handling ability before firing. Suitable for model making, tile making (thin sections) and coiling. Ideal for reduction and oxidising firing.
- Temperature Range 1220 - 1280°C.
- Shrinkage (w-d) 3 - 5%
- Shrinkage (d-f) 11 - 13%
- 0.26% expansion at 500°C.
- Texture (1-smooth 10 coarse) 2.
- Fired colour: Off White.
