Amaco Potter's Choice Flux River Birch is a glossy cream glaze with runny dark specks like the bark of a tree. River Birch breaks across textured surfaces and develops a peachy float when thick. Great for layering with other glazes as a base or topcoat. The glaze is beautiful on textured surfaces where the glazes can break and show the clay body colour.

  • Easy to use in a broad firing range from 1184°C to 1241°C (cone 5/6)
  • Firing range apply 3 coats to bisk.
  • Can be layered with Amaco Potter’s Choice, Celadon and Shino glazes)
  • Mixable colours for custom palette.
  • Always test new glazes and combination glazes.

Good to know:

  • Ready mixed brush-on glaze.
  • Fire in an oxidation kiln.
  • Works well over stoneware or porcelain clays.
  • Non-toxic (lead-free)– Perfect for tableware. Please follow manufacturer instructions.
  • Reduction effects in oxidation.
  • Reactive.
