Amaco Hibiscus Gloss Shino is a glossy, 100% mixable mid-fire glaze that yields wonderfully varied shades of salmon pink, orange, and brown depending on the thickness of application. Influenced by the humble earthiness of tea ceremony bowls, our Shino glazes give a traditional high-iron look to any high fire clay body. Beautiful on textured or smooth clay bodies, blendable to get the right degree of matte or glossy surface.
- Easy to use in a broad firing range from 1184°C to 1241°C (cone 5/6)
- Firing range apply 3 coats to bisk.
- Shino glazes can also be layered with Potter’s Choice line of glazes for different effects.
- Mixable colours for custom palette.
- Always test new glazes and combination glazes.

- Ready mixed brush-on glaze.
- Heavy Iron reduction look in oxidation.
- Suitable for Red or White Clay.
