Amaco Matcha Gloss Shino is a glossy, 100% mixable mid-fire glaze that yields wonderfully varied shades of green and brown depending on the thickness of application. Influenced by the humble earthiness of tea ceremony bowls, our Shino glazes give a traditional high-iron look to any high fire clay body. Beautiful on textured or smooth clay bodies, blendable to get the right degree of matte or glossy surface.
- Easy to use in a broad firing range from 1184°C to 1241°C (cone 5/6)
- Firing range apply 3 coats to bisk.
- Shino glazes can also be layered with Potter’s Choice line of glazes for different effects.
- Mixable colours for custom palette.
- Always test new glazes and combination glazes.

- Heavy Iron reduction look in oxidation.
- Suitable for Red or White Clay.
