Amaco Velvet Ultra Violet Brush-on Underglaze

Amaco Ultra Violet Velvet Underglaze is a soft, pinkish purple at cone 05, darkens slightly at cone 5, then lightens when fired to cone 10 but still maintains its violet shade. A clear glaze accentuates the colour of the underglaze significantly at any temperature.

Amaco Velvet Violet Brush on underglaze has saturated colour, dependability, and versatility making the Amaco Velvets as popular for professionals as they are for children.

• Velvets fire true-to-colour as a Cone 05/06 underglaze or fired to Cone 6.
• Some colours remain true as high as Cone 10.

Try two finish possibilities:

• When left unglazed these colours have the rich textural appearance of velvet.
• When covered with a Clear Transparent Matte or Clear Gloss Glaze they intensify in colour.

Good to Know:

• Can be easily applied to wet clay, greenware, or mature Cone 04 bisque.
• Saturated Colour
