The Botz Pro brush-on glaze is a great choice for both experienced and beginner potters, with its easy-to-use brush-on application for stoneware, earthenware and is the perfect choice for glazing tableware. The Citrine Yellow Botz Pro is a beautiful yellow glaze that will give a warm sunshine feeling to all your fabulous pottery designs. Botz recommend (from 1200°C) in high firing for tableware, clays are almost always sintered and hence the dishes are suitable for food, so therefore the glaze can be applied to your tableware without any worries.
Extremely easy to use in a broad firing range from 1020°C to 1280°C (cone 05-04 to cone 8-9)
- At 1050°C the glaze is very colourful and almost opaque. Apply 2-3 glazing coats.
- At 1150°C the glaze is vibrant in colour with a semi-transparent surface. Apply two glazing coats.
- At 1250°C the glaze is glassy, semi-transparent with intensive pastel shades, which is fabulous on porcelain clay. Apply two glazing coats.
Good to know:
- Works in combination with underglaze colours.
- Colours can be mixed to create a unique palette.
- Will flow more at a higher temperature.
- Suitable for Earthenware, Stoneware, Porcelain.
- Suitable for Raku Kilns.
- Tends to run when applied thickly from 1150°C.
