Botz Pro Opal White Brush-on Glaze

Create stunning pottery pieces with the Botz Pro 9301 Opal White glaze that forms a clear-to-milky white semi-transparent glassy gloss surface to pottery. The brush-on glaze can be used to create earthenware, stoneware, and tableware designs. Botz recommend (from 1200°C) in high firing for tableware, clays are almost always sintered and hence the dishes are suitable for food, so therefore the glaze can be applied to your tableware without any worries. The Opal White Botz Pro is a beautiful glaze for dinnerware due to its glossy strong shining finish. The hotter the glaze is fired the more it will flow and become semi-transparent.

Extremely easy to use in a broad firing range from 1020°C to 1280°C (cone 05-04 to cone 8-9)

• At 1050°C the glaze is very colourful and almost opaque. Apply 2-3 glazing coats.
• At 1150°C the glaze is vibrant in colour with a semi-transparent surface. Apply 2 glazing coats.
• At 1250°C the glaze is glassy, semi-transparent with intensive pastel shades, which is fabulous on porcelain clay. Apply 2 glazing coats.

• Works in combination with underglaze colours.
• Colours can be mixed to create a unique palette.
• Will flow more at a higher temperature.
