Earthstone ES10 Extra Smooth Stoneware Clay
A highly versatile fine white body clay with a broad range of applications, Earthstone Extra Smooth Stoneware (ES 10) matures between 1160°C - 1280°C. This unusually wide range means that it can be high biscuit fired to 1160°C for low temperature earthenware glazes, or biscuit fired at 1000°C for mid temperature earthenware or stoneware glazes. It throws and casts extremely well and takes sprigged or stamped decoration. Suitable for throwing, machine making, fine modelling, and casting.
- Temperature Range 1150 - 1280°C.
- Shrinkage (w-d) 3 - 5%
- Shrinkage (d-f) 7 - 9%
- 0.24% expansion at 500°C.
- Texture (1-smooth 10 coarse) 1.
- Fired colour: Off White.
