Harrison minibar pyrometric kiln cones pack of 50.
The cones are made by a pressing technique which gives greater uniformity from batch to batch and improved dimensional control. An inorganic binder is used impart rigidity and this burns away during the early stages of firing.
It is important that a steady rise in temperature of 4°C per minute is not exceeded. A more rapid rate of firing may affect the behaviours of the cones, giving apparently inaccurate results.
