Choice of two controllers:
CERA-10+ Controller
The controller is the latest development in a long series of controllers, they incorporate new software giving improved efficiency and ease of programming together with up-to-date safety and diagnostic features.
CERA-10+ has 32 programs each with 32 segments, each segment comprises of a ramp speed, a target temperature and a hold period and can be either cooling or heating segments. This is the ultimate controller offering every option that might be required. It can also be used in an amazingly simple manner with ease for the most basic of firings. Ideally suited to glass and pottery applications, with many scientific and industrial heat treatment applications.
CERA-10+ WIFI Controller
The CERA-10+ WIFI Controller has all the same functions as the CERA-10+ Controller but with WIFI capabilities. The controller can be controlled through a PC, or via the app on a phone or tablet. Instructions on how to install the GATEway app can be found the product Specifications tab and on our Resources section of our website.

The design voltage all U.K. supplied kilns should be 230v. This is the nominated U.K. supply voltage. However, electricity suppliers are permitted a voltage fluctuation range of -6% to +10% meaning the supply can vary between 216v and 253v.
This WILL affect the power output of your kiln. This variation will not be noticeable on most kilns, but 2.9 / 3kw units may be adversely affected. If the voltage is as low as 216v, the kiln could be drawing 11A or less (which will cause the kiln to fire for much longer than necessary and overheat the plug), and if the voltage is as high as 253v, the kiln could be drawing 14A which is problematic on a 13A plug.
All kilns, or any 2.9kw unit, such as fan heaters or oil filled radiators etc, that operate from a U.K. 13amp, three pin plug top can result in the plug and socket getting warm to the touch. However, this will vary depending on the condition
and age of the socket being used, the condition and fit of the plug top and the actual voltage of the socket.
It is recommended that you monitor the plug during firings, your plug should feel warm or neutral - not hot. If the plug feels unusually hot, we recommend that you contact a qualified electrician to assess the plug and socket condition
whilst the kiln is being used and the voltage to the kiln, which will affect the power drawn by the kiln. They may decide that the kiln is better to be on its own dedicated switched spur supply, or dedicated 16amp supply.
This recommendation is for ANY 2.9kw / 3kw kiln, of ANY MANUFACTURER, any oil filled radiator, fan heater, tumble dryer, or any other appliance of this KW rating.
