Professional PF570 White Stoneware Grogged Clay is an enhanced version of our PF 560 clay body, incorporating 10% 80’s Molochite for added strength and texture. Perfect for ceramic artists and potters who require a versatile and robust clay for larger creations. The inclusion of 10% 80’s Molochite gives the clay a desirable tooth and aids in drying, reducing the risk of warping and cracking in larger works. The added Molochite not only enhances the clay's workability but also makes it suitable for small hand-built and coiled pots.

This formulation is designed for potters who need a clay with more tooth and improved drying properties, making it ideal for producing larger pieces. PF 570 ideal for wheel throwing, hand-building, and coiling, offering excellent performance and durability. Whether you are creating substantial pottery pieces or intricate hand-built items, PF 570 provides the strength, workability, and reliability needed to achieve exceptional results. It fires to an off-white colour and performs well in both oxidizing and reduction atmospheres, with a firing range of 1120°C – 1280°C.

PF 570 maintains the smooth throwing characteristics of PF 560 while providing the additional benefits required for more ambitious projects.
