Spectrum Nova Clear Crackle Stoneware Powder Glaze
Spectrum Nova Clear Stoneware is a soft reactive clear gloss dipping series glaze. After the piece has been removed from the kiln and allowed to cool the crackle pattern will form. A coloured dye can be rubbed into the surface to emphasise the crackle pattern. Crackle glazes are not considered dinnerware safe due to the possibility of bacteria growth in the cracks.
These glazes have a health label due to the presence of zinc in concentrations above the non-toxic limit.
Please be aware that these glazes are more fluid and may run particularly when applied thickly.
