Spencroft Superior White Earthenware Clay
White clays are not usually easy throwing clays, but this one is ball clay based so offers superb throwing qualities capable of producing large bowls and platters. It has exceptional green strength so can readily be turned to make fine, light pots. The clay has a smooth finish and is also suitable for hand building and machine making.
- Firing range - 1100 - 1200°C.
- Shrinkage (w-f) 9% at 1100°C.
- 0.35% expansion at 500°C.
- Texture (1-smooth 10 coarse) 2.
- Fired colour: White.
