The Swann Morton No. 24 sterile surgical blade is slightly larger than the No.23 blade, and is more semi-circular in shape, sharpened along its leading edge. Typically used for making long incisions in general surgery and also in autopsy procedures.
The Swann Morton 24 carbon steel blade can be honed to a very sharp edge, whilst being more wear resistant than stainless steel.
