Traditional Parian Clay is derived from Paros, the Aegean Island renowned for its exquisite white marble, famously used by the classical Greeks for sculpture. This unique clay body, known for its historical significance, became immensely popular in the mid-nineteenth century and was manufactured by many notable potteries in Stoke-on-Trent.

Parian Body is perfect for artists and manufacturers aiming to create highly detailed and translucent ceramic pieces. Its self-glazing properties eliminate the need for additional glazing, enhancing its ease of use and final appearance. This clay body is particularly well-suited for casting, providing the ideal material for producing delicate figurines, dolls, and light forms that require a high degree of translucency and fine detail. For best results, mix the casting slip slowly to prevent frothing and ensure a smooth, consistent mixture.
